Founded in September 2020 in London by Gow Tanaka, a former session hairstylist with over 25 years of experience in the fashion industry, 3RD/DIADEM merges his expertise with a profound appreciation for intricate craftsmanship inspired by traditional Japanese design.

Determined to uphold his commitment to excellence, Gow dedicated over four years to meticulous research, refining his skills in 3D design and craftsmanship. His quest led him to discover a distinctive, eco-friendly material crafted from recycled paper, originally intended for high-end interior furnishings. This material became the cornerstone for his Dappe collection, enabling him to realize his vision of "Sustainable luxury."

His belief in sustainability extends beyond the materials used; he emphasizes the importance of longevity in his creations. Characterized by minimalism and distinctiveness, his designs embody his philosophy of enduring elegance. Drawing inspiration from his cultural heritage and years of collaborating with top fashion creators, Gow unveiled his inaugural masterpiece, the Dappe Comb. Since then, the Dappe Collection has blossomed, offering a range of unisex accessories and expanding into desk and tableware. His latest endeavor involves crafting eyewear from his favored material, recycled paper.
